Musician Stephen John had the road from Manzanilla to Rio Claro almost all to himself during the global pandemic.
With little vehicular traffic, John found himself experiencing that stretch of Trinidad’s East Coast in a way he had not before.
The landscape seemed to open up around him. In the early mornings, the sights and sounds of nature became a source of deep inspiration.
“Nature in its full nakedness and beauty,” is how John remembers it.
