Stephen John is a story teller singer-songwriter, producer, and recording artist from Trinidad and Tobago whose music is rooted in authentic storytelling, meaningful lyrics, and a faith-informed perspective on life.
For more than two decades, Stephen has been writing, recording, and performing music that speaks to the human experience. Drawing inspiration from faith, relationships, personal growth, and everyday life, he creates songs that resonate with listeners across cultural and spiritual backgrounds. His distinctive voice, thoughtful songwriting, and commitment to musical excellence have earned him recognition throughout the Caribbean and beyond.
As the founder, Executive Producer, and recording artist of S²J² Enterprises, Stephen has built a career that extends beyond performance into music production, publishing, and artist development. His work reflects a passion for creating music that inspires, encourages, and connects people through shared experiences and universal themes.
Throughout his career, Stephen has received more than twelve award nominations across the Caribbean and has been honored with awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Most Original Song, and Best Gospel Performance. In 2006, he released his debut album, In Your Presence, featuring standout songs such as "In Your Presence" and "Leaving It All Behind."
Stephen has shared the stage with internationally respected artists including Ron Kenoly, Helen Baylor, Lt. Stitchie, and Elan Trotman. He has also served as a Musical Director, Vocal Instructor at Caribbean Nazarene College, and has been a member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMY®) since 2017.
Today, Stephen continues to develop music that bridges inspiration and artistry, bringing a unique Caribbean voice to audiences both at home and abroad.
